I'm an assistant profesor at the University of Zaragoza and a scientific advisor at SigOpt. I'm also a member of the robotics group at Instituto de Investigación en Ingeniería de Aragón (I3A) in Zaragoza.
Previously, I was a senior lecturer (profesor) at the Centro Universitario de la Defensa (CUD) at Zaragoza and, before that, a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. I received my PhD and MSc in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza in 2008 and 2003, respectively.
My research interests span machine learning, robotics, computer vision and Bayesian optimization.
