Robocomplex

The objective of the Robocomplex project is to generate knowledge in the development of fully autonomous robotic systems involving Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), designed to operate in large and complex environments. These systems are particularly intended for scenarios where conventional, out-of-the-box solutions are not effective, such as confined underground spaces (e.g., caves, mines) or large, crowded areas like airports or event venues. The scientific proposal of the project includes the following general goals: extending communication range while preserving bandwidth in unstructured underground environments; enabling planning and navigation in highly dynamic settings; and developing alternative navigation methods specifically for underground environments.
