Vatios is a framework based on Wattch developed as a final course project by Juan Antonio Victorio in the Computer Architecture Group (gaZ).

Vatios improves Wattch, adding more flexibility, fixing bugs and updating the CACTI version that it uses.

The most remarkable improvements are:

- Vatios separates the execution simulation from the power calculation, giving results for several technologies and/or frequencies, simulating only one execution and without recompiling the tool.

- Vatios allows using different algorithms to calculate the consumption (power models) without resimulating the execution. It also allows specifying the power of a unit by command line, as well as not include units to the total consumption of the processor.

- Uses the last version of CACTI 4.2 libraries, besides, we have added the option to use CACTI to calculate the whole power for cache-like structures.

Vatios can be downloaded from this site and free modified.

The report is in spanish and can be read from the link at the left, as well as the user manual and the programmer's manual, written in english.

We are looking forward to your comments and opinions, as well as improvement requests by the email address given.
